LIFE ICEGREEN project: "Let's give the ice cream industry a green turn by promoting an innovative business model using low-GWP refrigerants" LIFE18 CCM/IT/001106
Hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants are used in a wide variety of refrigeration equipment, both domestic and industrial, for food production or storage. However, they have a high Global Warming Potential (GWP). The European Parliament and the Council have decreed that, as of 2022, HFCs must be progressively replaced by gases with a GWP below 150.
